CAIRO: Business returned to usual in Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square after celebrations for ‘The Love of Egypt' wound to a close last night. Various political powers, Coptic Christians and some Sufi orders (Islamic mystics) participated in Friday's demonstration/celebration. Traffic resumed its usual flow early Saturday morning after demonstrators left the square in groups. Traffic had moved slowly through the square during the day's celebrations. There were still security and military police forces in the square as of early this morning to secure the entrances to the square while public committees cleaned up after the day's festivities. Demonstrators had promised to leave the square at midnight and not to stage a sit-in.
