Islamic forces escalated their condemnation rhetoric of the so-called supra-constitutional principles yesterday, as Deputy Prime Minister Ali el-Selmy said that the final version will be announced in a few days. The Islamic powers consider these principles a circumvention of the people's will. Many Salafist youth organizations similarly condemned the principles, claiming that Egyptians are not obligated to adhere to such laws. Salafists will organize a protest outside the Council of Ministries and the ruling military council building, said Mohamed Samy, a leader in the Salafist movement. “Protests are suspended in Ramadan, but we can hold a protest in the holy month if we must,” he added.
