CAIRO: Mohamed Mohsen died yesterday of injuries sustained during the violent July 23 clashes in Cairo's Abbaseya neighborhood. Mohsen, 23, was from Sohag in Upper Egypt. He was a member of the National Front for Justice and Democracy and a student. It is said that Mohsen participated in what was intended to be a peaceful march from Tahrir Square to the Ministry of Defense on July 23. When people carrying knives and stones attacked the march, Mohsen was severely injured. He succumbed to his injuries last night. A report was submitted to the Attorney General this morning requesting to hold Mohsen's funeral at the Nasser Institute mosque after Dohr prayer.
