Four containers on the APL line at Ein Sokhna port will be deported to Japan, the country of origin, reported port administration authorities. Two containers will be sent back on July 29, and the second two will be sent in early August. The incident began 10 days ago, when containers from Japan containing heavy machinery and tractors were inspected and found to have dust radiation. Atomic Energy Commission officials – tasked with examining containers from Asia – separated the containers and took samples. Test results on the four containers confirmed the existence of radioactive nuclear substances. About 14 other containers remain in El Ein Sokhna port while officials wait for test results.
