CAIRO: ‘Youth took a step' team launched a campaign on Facebook aiming to improve Egypt's microbus drivers' public taste by distributing 300 CDs of Quran, religious lessons, and songs to 300 microbuses during Ramadan, the holy Islamic month of fasting. The campaign aims to confront Egyptian kitsch that dominated public taste for a long time. The team adopted a number of projects to be implemented during Ramadan, such as distributing food to labor and traffic workers who spend Iftar, breaking their fast, on the streets. The team works and volunteers to receive funds from its members to implement such projects.
