CAIRO: The Egyptian Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) denied reports claiming the Party chairman, Mohamad Morsi, will run for presidential elections, said the FJP secretary general, Mohamad Saad el-Katatni. El-Katatni said the party adheres to MB's decision of not running for the upcoming Egyptian presidential elections since the FJP retaliated several times before creating the party. El-Katatni made this statement during a press conference. El-Katatni called on all media means to consider accuracy and to comply with professional standards. He pointed out the status quo of Egypt going through the transition period. He is asking everyone to put public interest above personal gains. As for the party's stance towards all presidential nominees, el-Katatni said the party is neutral. There were reports claim the chairman of FJP will run for presidency during the celebration of the party's establishment yesterday.
