CAIRO: The Egyptian Ministerial Cabinet is mulling a law allowing “honorable” businessmen to serve in ministerial posts, said Cabinet Spokesman Mohammad Hegazi. The law, which is expected to pass, prevents a conflict of interest, and includes legal and institutional provisions making “honorable” businessmen and those who have a stake in commercial interests eligible for ministerial seats, said Hegazi. Hegazi highlighted the significant role businessmen play in the process of both supporting development and reviving the national economy.
