Egypt swears in 14 new ministers

CAIRO: Egypt swore in 14 new ministers today before the head of the country's ruling military council, Hussein Tantawi. Tantawi held a meeting with all 27 ministers, including Prime Minister Essam Sharaf.
The Cabinet announced earlier on its Facebook page that Sharaf had "completed his consultations to form a new government."
This is the second ministerial reshuffle since the February resignation of Egypt's former president, Hosni Mubarak, following 18 days of popular uprising.
Newly appointed ministers:
- Foreign minister: Mohamed Kamel Amr
- Finance minister, deputy PM for economic affairs: Hazem al-Beblawi
- Health minister: Amr Hilmi
- Communications minister: Mohamed Salem
- Agriculture minister : Salah Farag
- Minister for domestic development: Mohammed Atiya
- Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments): Mohammed Abdel Fadil al-Qawsi
- Transportation minister: Ali Zain al-Abidin Haikal
- Higher education minister: Mutaz Khorshid
- Aviation minister: Lutfi Kamal
- Minister of State for Military Production: Ali Sabri
- Minister for Foreign Trade and Industry: Mahmud Eissa
- Irrigation minister: Hisham Qandil
- Environment minister: Maged Ilyas Ghattas
