JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is ready to hold negotiations with the emerging Islamic powers in Egypt - provided they recognize Israel first. Netanyahu said in his interview with Saudi Arabian network Al-Arabiya, which will be telecasted tomorrow, that former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was a great ally to Israel. The current Egyptian regime made a vow to Israel that there will not be any change. He added, “I don't think either of us wants to get into a war.” Commenting on the latest incidents in Syria, Netanyahu said Israel will not intervene in Syrian incidents. He pointed out Syrians deserve a good future. “Just because we don't intervene in Syria does not mean we aren't worried about what is happening there. First and foremost, we want peace between both countries, especially on the borders; secondly, I wish Isreal and Syria will go back to a real peace agreement; Thirdly, I think Syrian youth deserve a better future and there is no difference between Israel and Syria except peace. However, Syria's support to Hezbollah and Iran is unacceptable.”
