A group of Egyptians descended from the Prophet Mohamed have requested to establish a specialized academy to study the genealogies of the Prophet's descendents. Anas al-Katby is chairman of the Nobles syndicate, which included people who can prove their bloodline to the Prophet Mohamed. Katby has asked the Madina Munawara to establish a specialized academy in Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet's Family) to study genealogy. Katby said the syndicate is the only official entity and its chairman is assigned by the president of Egypt. He also said the syndicate aims to gather all persons in the Islamic world descended from the Prophet, with their different tribes and allegiances. He said the group does not tend to racism.
