ALEXADRIA, Egypt: Founder and chairman of al-Ghad Party, Dr. Ayman Nour, demanded the resignation of Egypt's Prime Minister, Essam Sharaf. "Sharaf should review his situation after the government lost its credibility," Nour said. Nour expressed al-Ghad Party's readiness to form a coalition government to include all ministries. He assured his government will lead Egypt on a better road than the current one. He said Egypt has efficient citizens to lead it and clarified the problem is how to choose those people. He mentioned the critical moment Egypt witnesses now doesn't need a shadow government, especially since the current government doesn't understand the language spoken in Tahrir. Nour said al-Ghad Party refused Sharf's recent speech, describing it as frustrating. He assured the Party refuses holding unfair trials against foes even Mubarak himself. He criticizes the slow process of trials of figures of the former regime. Nour mentioned Egypt's January 25 Revolution threatened to be just a military coup and pointed out the revolution's objectives and demands weren't achieved. He blamed Sharaf's government for impeding the objectives of the revolution. Nour said the time Sharaf spent in office is not enough to assess his government's performance but indicators are not positive either. He asked for reasons that prompted Sharaf to accept to be secretary to the military council without any authority to take strict decisions. Ayman Nour refused the Sharaf's speech, which brought only promises without serious action, during his weekly meeting on Sunday in Alexandria.
