CAIRO: An Egyptian Muslim scholar, Omar Abdel Kafi, expressed his refusal to any religious scholar to be the next president of Egypt. "I don't see religious scholar should sitting on the ruling chair because if he commits any mistake, people will think Islam itself is making mistakes." He made this statement in a symposium under the title "Clarification of Explicit Things" in al-Sawy Cultural Wheel. "I want to tell presidential nominee's ears, (and we undoubtedly know all of them are patriots) and ask them, 'What would you do if another nominee is fitter than you to run for president and serve their country better? Would you go move back to make him and Egypt more forward?'” Abdel Kafi questioned. Abdel Kafi said many people nominated him to run for presidency from their hearts, and it is a difficult task for anyone, he claimed about running for the presidency. He said the upcoming president needs to be savant, a father, a brother, a son to every Egyptian; "If there is a nominee with all these qualification, congratulations in advance."
