The U.S. ambassador in Egypt, Anne Patterson, was moved from a heated pan in Pakistan to a real fire in Egypt, said former official of the United Nations, Nancy Soderberg. Soderberg said Anne Patterson finished her mission in Islamabad to begin a tougher mission in Cairo. According to Soderberg, if circumstances go well in Egypt democracy will be achieved and the contrary will happen if circumstances go wrong way. Anne Patterson will be familiar with them because she faced these circumstances before in Pakistan, said Soderberg. Many tried to evaluate Patterson's mission in Islamabad as the US ambassador for three years there. No one, however, was able to determine if she is ready to encourage turning to democracy. Patterson's new mission is in Egypt's democratic movement center. According to the Daily Beast newspaper, Patterson is smart diplomat who carried out a difficult mission in Pakistan before coming to Egypt.
