CAIRO: The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) decided to dismiss a number of its youth members who quested to establish the Egyptian Trend Party, headed by Islam Lotfy and Mohamed al-Qafas. A number of the MB's youth announced their participation with liberal and leftist youth in establishing the Egyptian Trend Party, although the MB said that members of the group should only participate in the Freedom and Justice Party. The MB even warned of dismissing people who will participate in any other party. The youth of the MB took this step after their failed attempts to convince the group's leadership to review the way they choose the leaders of the group's political entity, the Freedom and Justice Party. The MB, however, ignored their attempts. The youth expressed their desire for the leadership of the MB to regard them as sons of a group of Islamic preach and not a group of political work. They justified their situation by saying that the MB separated between its political and preaching activities when it established a political entity, indicating they have the right to join any political party as long as they remain committed to the principles of the group.
