In reaction to the unfortunate events that took place in Tahrir Square at dawn of June 29, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) called for citizens not to heed those who seek to destabilize Egypt. The communiqué No. 65 of SCAF on their Facebook page stated the incident was 'an organized and deliberate attempt to destabilize Egypt, spread chaos and to use the martyr's cause to cause a rift between security forces and Egyptian citizens.”
