The Spanish newspaper 'ABC' described Sayed al-Issawy, the Egyptian who wanted to attract tourists to Egypt by fighting a lion, as the strongest man in the world. The newspaper said his main objective of fighting a lion was to show people around the world that they can see in Egypt what they cannot see in any other place. He wanted to prove that he, as an Egyptian, can do anything even if it is fighting a lion. The newspaper said al-Issawy refused to kill the lion because it is an animal. It is, however, expected that al-Issawy might fight two lions or a gorilla in the future.
