A driver sits silently outside the security barracks of the Council of Ministers. He holds a sign that reads, “I ask to restore Israel to a human rights fact-finding committee.” Fathy Abdel Gany Hawas, 58, is a driver in the Arab Union Company for Land Transport. Hawas told Youm7 his story. Hawas was wrongfully fired two years ago by a former member of parliament and the CEO of the company he worked for, Reda Wahdan. Wahdan claimed Hawas incited workers to sit in. Hawas said he is a member of a union and demands human rights. "Although Israel is a Jewish country, it respects human rights. However, citizens are violated in Egypt," said Hawas. Hawas added, "I asked the officials and the Council of Ministers to discuss my problem. No one responded, although the Alexandria court judged to return me to my work." Hawas asks Prime Miniester Essam Sharaf to get back his job, receive all his disbursements and investigate with the company's administration.
