CAIRO: The Aga Khan institution ended a number of archeological projects in Cairo. These included the renovation of the Ayyubid wall extending from Azhar's garden to the tombs of Bab al-Wazer, as well as preparations on alternative ways to improve traffic, to especially enable emergency cars to reach the heart of al-Darb al-Ahmar despite its narrow streets. The wall witnessed the renovation and development of the mosque of Umm Sultan Shaaban's mosque, Khaier Bek group, Aslam al-Selhdar mosque and the Blue mosque. "Aln aq" palace has undergone development so that it can be turned into a museum for Cairo's history. The French museum designer, Adrian Gardere, has been given the responsibility of decorating the museum and choosing archeological exhibitions in coordination with the Higher Council of Archeology.
