The focus of most newspapers issued today was the trial of the officers responsible for the killing of protestors during the 25 January Revolution and Minister of the Interior Mansour el Essawy's decision to have them transferred to the ministry's headquarters. Also, PM Essam Sharaf's call for Egyptians to work to improve their standard of living was discussed and the first suspected case of the killer E-coli in Egypt – a German tourist.

Security sources disclosed to Youm 7 that the National Security Agency, formerly known as State Security Investigation, has already begun its work in accordance with the rules and the new decisions issued by Interior Minister Mansour Essawy. The sources said the month of May saw the first report on the political situation in Egypt after the revolution of January 25, including the form of political currents and parties in Egypt.
