CAIRO: Indonesia's Ambassador to Egypt, Abdelrahman Fakher, ended his post as ambassador yesterday. Fakher said a ceremony was hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in celebration of his role in supporting relations between Egypt and Indonesia. Fakher said, "I remember when I was offered to choose any country I want to become an ambassador, I chose Egypt because I studied under Azharites and acquired a lasting fascination with the civilization of Egypt. But what I was more impressed with when I arrived here is the goodness of Egyptians." Among the attendees of the celebration were South Korea's Ambassador in Cairo, Jong John Yon: Vice President of the British Mission to Cairo, Tom Riley; First Counselor of the Turkish Embassy, Sada Altnok; Ambassador of Venzula, Victor Carazo; Palestine's Ambassador in Cairo Barakat al-Fer; Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Ibrahim al-Ansari; and a variety of members of diplomatic corps in Egypt.
