CAIRO: The Free Egyptians Party, currently under formation, took part in a protest organized by several parties and political factions on June 6 to commemorate the death of Khaled Said. The Party said in a statement that commemorating the death of Khaled Said is also commemorating the initial spark that inspired Egypt's January 25 Revolution. They said out of all of Egypt's governorates, the Mediterranean city of Alexandria witnessed the greatest number of incidents involving unwarranted police brutality. The statement called for the prosecution of all responsible for the attacks on protestors, for activists to be held accountable for the crimes they committed and to pay attention to the needs of the martyrs' families and those injured during the revolution.
