CAIRO: Former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser cooperated with his marshal Abdel Hakim Amer and the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to agree with the U.S. to recognize Israel to get power in Egypt, said the chairman of the National American Coptic Assembly, Morris Sadek. Sadek has not stopped criticizing Egypt and the January 25 Revolution since his Egyptian nationality was withdrawn because he incited international intervention in Egypt. He added that history now repeats itself, referring to the MB, saying it promised U.S. President Barak Obama to recognize Israel in return for governing Egypt. Sadek noted a member of the MB guidance bureau, Saad el-Husseini, met with chairman of Mossad while other members of the MB met with Obama for breakfast in the White House and vowed to recognize Israel in order to govern Egypt. Sadek accused Nasser of the 1967 defeat, saying he is responsible for killing 1,000 Coptic Christians for Islam and pushing Israel into occupying the Sinai Peninsula. He claimed Israel freed Jerusalem from Arab invaders' ancestors, adding that Nasser had to be prosecuted for his crime of killing Coptic Christians in 1967. Sadek attacked Egypt's January 25 Revolution, describing it as a “coup.” He said the police started to suppress Coptic Chritsians when Britain occupied Egypt after Orabi's Revolution, in which Christians and Jews were slaughtered. He also claimed the British protected the minority. British occupation lasted until 1952. During this period, there was not one case of Christian killings or kidnapping of Christian girls and Muslims and Christians lived together in peace, according to Sadek. He said the Islamic trend emerged after the military coup in 1952, otherwise known as the 1952 Revolution, and that Coptic Christians were excluded from the political scene. He said Coptic Christians refuse all Quranic verses which mention Christians and Jews. He disagrees with Article 2 of the constitution, which says Egypt is an Islamic state and Sharia, Islamic Law, is the main source of legislation. Sadek claims he will announce a Coptic Christian civil state in Egypt all the way from Alexandria to Aswan under international protection. Sadek claimed Israel is not Egypt's enemy, according to International Law.
