CAIRO: All Egyptian citizens who hold unlicensed weapons must turn them over to the nearest military unit or police station by June 30, announced Egypt's ruling military council. The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) said any Egyptian who holds an unlicensed weapon past the July 30 deadline could face questioning in military courts. The punishment for having unlicensed weapons could reach life imprisonment. The SCAF also asked the Egyptian people to report any information concerning thugs or bullies. It said it will grant people rewards as they cooperate in ensuring Egypt's safety. The SCAF has been charged with Egypt's administration since February 11, when Egypt's former president resigned.
