Iranian diplomat accused of spying released

Iranian diplomat who is accused of spying has been released after investigating him for 14 hours, security sources said.
The accused Mohammed Qassem will be departed to Iran on Monday as he is persona non-grata.
High State Security Prosecutor Hesham Badawy ordered to release Qassem after getting information from Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointing out that the accused is a diplomat in Iranian Affairs bureau in Cairo.
In response to Iranian spy in Egypt, experts say this case tries to disorder improving the Iranian- Egyptian relation.
Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) has arrested an Iranian diplomat as he has spy devices to collect political, economic, and military information in Egypt and other Arab Gulf Countries to be sent to Tehran.
Former deputy of Egyptian Affairs in Tehran bureau Mohammed Farag said to Youm7 that there are Epp and Flow movements against Iranian-Egyptian relations which are increase by this case. He added some organizations see these relations threatens Egypt, describing this vision as “Wrong”
This case is a failed attempt to hinder a new foreign policy after Revolution and reforming approach in all foreign affairs , according to Farag.
Farag sees that this case will not affect the relations between Egypt and Iran because Both sides are keen on approaching the relations.
Regarding public delegation's visit to Tehran, Farag said the delegation cannot ease the tension in the relation as it reached to deadlock for long time, refereeing that the Iranian are pragmatists who see their interests should top their priorities.
Meanwhile, Regional and Strategic studies center chairman Mustafa al-Labad said accusing Iranian diplomat if spying has its negative impact on the Egyptian-Iranian relations, and drives the realtions to go back.
“Regardless of spy case, there is an objective difference in Egypt-Iran interests in Gulf region and Iraq. This difference cannot be excluded by meeting with diplomats or issuing positive statement by two sides... this difference also expresses itself by arresting on the Iranian diplomat in Cairo.” said al-Labad.
He called for stripping Iran from the title of “angel and evil”, however it is actually not “angel” but a State seeks to accomplish its interests which could oppose the national interests.
Al-Labad continued Egypt's foreign policy in Mubarak's era is not accurate.
moreover, Iranian diplomat in Egyptian Affairs in Tehran bureau denied his knowing of arrest on the Iranian diplomat, Mohammed Qassem.
Commenting on the Iranian spy case, Israel press said Iran has betrayed Egypt and its Revolution despite improving the relations between two countries.
