CAIRO: Ousted Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak, who is under arrest in Sharm el-Sheik International Hospital on the Red Sea, is depressed and needs treatment by a psychologist, state news agency MENA reported on Saturday. The 83-year-old former president has been in hospital since April after he reportedly suffered a heart attack during interrogation. He is accused of involvement in corruption and the deaths of anti-regime protesters. MENA quoted a hospital doctor as saying Mubarak's health is now stable but "his mental health is bad." "Former president Hosni Mubarak's health mental health requires a psychologist," he said. The protests which overthrew Mubarak on February 11 came as a shock to the country's thirty-year ruler. His two sons, Alaa and Gamal, have been detained in Torah Prison along with dozens of his former regime's figureheads. Corruption charges have even been extended to his wife, Suzanne.
