CAIRO: More than 3,000 demonstrators in Tahrir Square today affirmed they will not reconcile with members of the fallen regime. They called for the trial of those responsible for the deaths of hundreds during the January 25 Revolution. Sameh al-Massad, president of the Youth Revolution Coalition, said reconciliation is not possible with cronies of the former regime, who triggered the recent sectarian violence among the Egyptian to jeopardize the revolution's success. There was an altercation between al-Massad and a Salafi who asked him not to talk while the Imam was still preaching, but the matter quickly settled. Al-Massad recommended not to forget the rights of the martyrs and condemned Suzanne Mubarak's pardon in return for assets worth 24 million EGP (U.S. $4 million). He also asked the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to prosecute all the former regime's figures on violations they committed.
