Many companies operating in the Burg al-Arab industrial zone are currently non-functional because of the continuing diesel fuel crisis, which has caused transportation to grind to a halt, said Tarek Gad, vice-president of the Burg al-Arab investors group. Despite the extra diesel provided by the Ministry of Petroleum to petrol stations two days ago, many petrol stations are still crowded with trucks waiting to get fuel, he told Youm7. He added that the supply available is not meeting demand. Petrol stations have imposed a 20-liter limit per car, which is not enough for trucks heading to Upper Egypt, he said. He added that the diesel crisis is affecting work in factories due to the halt in the transportation activities of most factories.
