The Egyptian Assembly to counter Internet Crimes will examine various means of electronic voting during its fourth conference on Tuesday. The conference will be held in cooperation with the Arab Union for Electronic Voting, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency and "Etisal" Assembly. The conference, titled "Electronic vote: legal challenges and protecting the security of information," will discuss benefits and types of electronic voting in addition to the role of the government to activate such a process in ballots and elections. The conference will also discuss the legal and technological challenges of electronic voting in Egypt's constitution, laws regulating the exercise of political rights and criminal law. The conference will discuss how to protect information related to the electronic voting process and the electoral process in all its stages. They will discuss ways to support the partnership between authorities, private sector and NGOs and their role in spreading such a new culture in the Egyptian society
