The top news in Egypt today concerned Saturday night's sectarian clashes in Imbaba and its consequences. According to state-run Al-Ahram, Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb condemned the sectarian violence, saying, “What happened in Imbaba is a terrorist crime.” He called for quick prosecution of those responsible. Independent Al-Masry Al-Youm reported that the National Security Agency (NSA) aborted an attempt of terrorists to infiltrate Egypt from Somalia. The health of deposed President Hosni Mubarak topped Al-Akhbar's news. The stae-run paper said Mubarak's psychological condition has greatly deteriorated, and he is refusing to speak, eat, or take medicine. Other reports claim Mubarak has been moved to Torah Prison hospital.
