HELWAN, Egypt: A gun battle between bedouins and arabs in Upper Egypt caused a death of an innocent passerby. A disagreement over land ownership in Helwan sparked the shooting. General Abdeen Yousef formed an investigation team led by the head of Criminal Investigation Department, Hassan al-Sohagy, to unravel the details of the accident. The team discovered a grudge between the families of Awlad Badwy and Abu Ghayad. Both families opened fire on one another and a stray bullet killed a 25-year-old employee in the People's Assembly, Hamada. After legal measures, the police managed to arrest five people from both families and are still searching for three others who were involved in the gunfight. One of the arrested told the details of the shooting and revealed the kind of weapons that were used.
