Egypt has regained about 75,000 acres of land from Saudi prince Al-Waleed Ben Talal, officials announced on Tuesday during a meeting with the Egyptian community in Saudi Arabia. The land will be used to cultivate wheat to meet Egyptian demands. Dr. Fayza Aboul-Naga, Minister of International Cooperation, proposed issuing bonds guaranteed by Egypt's Central Bank. These bonds will be related with specific projects, the matter which would support Egypt's economy. She said that the idea has been implemented before in India and Israel and contributed to recovering their economies. Aboul-Naga added that Egypt's revolution should prompt Egyptian citizens to participate in rebuilding the country's economy, and said the Egyptian community in Saudi Arabia should also respond to such an idea. They represent a high percentage of Egyptian expatriates, more than 8 million, and thus have an important role in lifting Egypt from its current crisis.
