The Ministry of Interior will make a decision regarding the attendance of fans in Ahli's Champions League final against Esperance. The Egyptian FA said on its website that a decision from the ministry will be announced 'within hours', following Ahli's request to play the game in the presence of their fans. Ahli, who have been playing behind closed doors throughout their whole Champions League campaign this term, will host Esperance in the final first-leg on November 4. The Reds are hopeful to have their fans support as they visit defending champions Esperance on November 17.
