The Egyptian police has agreed to secure Ahli and Enppi's upcoming continental home games following a request by the Egyptian Football Association (FA). After initially informing the Cairo teams that their matches will have to be moved away or played without the presence of fans, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior is now set to assign local police to secure the games. The FA's website issued a statement of gratitude to the military forces and the ministry, confirming that the games will be staged normally. Egypt cup champions Enppi host Burundi's Lydia Academic in the Confederation Cup round of 64 on Saturday, one day before Ahli take on Ethiopian Coffee in the Champions League.
