Ahli striker Emad Meteb could make his comeback in Sunday's Egypt Super Cup showdown with ENPPI after recuperating from a niggling hamstring injury, the Reds said on their website. Meteb, whose last competitive game was against Japan in the London Olympic Games a month ago, has been out of action ever since as he is now in line to feature against ENPPI after appearing in good shape during the Reds' training. The Super Cup, initially scheduled for September 8, has been put back one day upon the request of Ahli who cited ‘exhaustion' following the team's return from DR Congo's Mazembe this week. The fixture is set to be staged at the Army stadium in Alexandria behind closed doors.
