Egypt midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou scored the opening goal in Al-Nasr's 2-1 Saudi league win over Al-Taawon. Marking his first goal for the club, Abd-Rabou broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time when he notched home a left-footed effort past the keeper. Ahmed Al-Kahtani equalized for the hosts but Mohamed Eid netted the winner for Al-Nasr as Abd-Rabou missed a number of chances during the game. Al-Nasr move to third by claiming their seventh point as they prepare for the big Riyadh derby against bitter rivals Hilal at the weekend.
