Borussia Dortmund have snapped up Germany starlet Marco Reus from Borussia Moenchengladbach for a fee of €17.5million. "Of course I'm happy with the way we got the player of our dreams and held our own against high class opponents," Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told eurosport.yahoo.de. "He can play on several positions and fits absolutely into our system. We're convinced of his quality, with which he can make the difference." Reus, a 22-year-old attacking midfielder, enjoyed a wonderful first-half of the Bundesliga season with Moenchengladbach, hitting 10 goals for the over-achieving side. His arrival is expected to add more uncertainty over the future of Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan, who has been no more than a fringe player at the Signal Iduna throughout the past year. According to German reports, the capture of Reus could prompt manager Juergen Klopp to ditch the out-of-favor Zidan in the winter break.
