African champions Esperance have finished the Club World Cup in sixth place after suffering another defeat at the hands of Monterrey. The Tunisians lost their second game from two after going ahead through Yannick N'Djeng, only to be pegged back by Hiram Mier, Aldo De Nigris and Jesus Zavala. Khaled Mouelhi sacored a late penalty for Esperance to make it 3-2. In the semi-finals, hosts Kashiwa Reysol were beaten by South American giants Santos 3-1, with Neymar, Borges and Danilo on the scoresheet.
