Egyptian Premier League newcomers MCDR stretched their unbeaten run to a record six matches with a 3-1 home victory over Petrojet. Hussein Hamdi opened the scoring with a 22nd minute penalty as Sameh Adrous and Fouad Salama ensured the victory in the second half. Ahmed Bakri scored a late consolation for Petrojet, who suffered their second defeat in a row. MCDR moved to fifth on 29 points, leveling with seventh placed Petrojet thanks to a better goal difference. Later on Tuesday, ENPPI face strugglers Arab Contractors in Cairo.
