The Egyptian FA will not introduce the reserves league in the near future as clubs have yet to accept the idea. After revealing that the new system could be implemented next season, the Egyptian football governing body announced on Sunday that the idea has yet to be activated. The decision means that club squads will remain with a maximum of 25 players, rather than 30. The FA's website said that the squad extension was only intended for the cause of the reserves league, but conceded that several clubs failed to absorb the plan.
