Rising star Ayman Hefni has joined Gaish from MCDR on a loan basis for a season and a half starting January. "Hefni has already signed his contract with Gaish," MCDR football director Walid Howaidi told FilGoal.com on Friday. The 24-year-old playmaker burst onto the scene with some impressive displays with MCDR, who had a superb start to their maiden Egyptian Premier League campaign. A brilliant bicycle kick from Hefni earned MCDR a 1-1 draw with Ismaili in September. He also scored a fine goal against Zamalek before his side eventually lost 4-3 in a thrilling game the next month. Hefni drew the attention of Cairo pair Ahli and Zamalek before he faced problems related to his compulsory military service. Several reports suggested he had no option but to join army-owned side Gaish because of his unfulfilled military obligations. However, Gaish repeatedly denied the allegation.
