De Boer named interim Ajax manager

Ajax have announced that Franck de Boer will succeed Martin Jol as manager of the first team on a temporary basis.
Jol suddenly stepped down from his position on Monday, with reports linking him with Newcastle United, who sacked coach Chris Hughton on the same day.
Former Holland star De Boer will start his mission with a stern test as he leads Ajax in the Wednesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan at the San Siro.
In-form striker Mido pulled out of the Real-match squad due to personal reasons, making way for the Luis Suarez, who is banned domestically.
