Egyptian Premier League holders Ahli are aiming for the top of the table for the first time this season as they make a historic visit to Gouna in Hurghada. The 35-time champions play for the first time at Gouna Stadium, which only takes up to 15,000 spectators. However, it is unlikely that the Cairo giants will suffer from lack of support in the Red Sea, given their huge fan base at the coastal city. Spirit Gouna will have to rely on team spirit to overcome the challenge of their mighty opponents, according to new manager Anwar Salama. "It's not just the win that makes me happy, it's the spirit of the players and their determination to win," said Salama after scoring his first victory with Gouna over Military Production last week. "I hope this spirit will continue in our match against Ahli." Salama, a former Ahli player and manager, took over from Ismail Youssef in mid-October as he began the fight against relegation with goalless draw at Arab Contractors.
