Holland forward Dirk Kuyt says referee Howard Webb was a bit biased against the Oranje in the World Cup final on Sunday, which caused them to miss out on the prestigious title. Spain won the elite competition for the first time in history after beating Holland 1-0 in a pulsating final, thanks to an Andres Iniesta strike in extra-time. English ref Webb dished out yellow cards to 13 players from both sides before dismissing John Heitinga deep into extra-time for a second bookable offence. Liverpool ace Kuyt believes that Webb 'slightly' favored Spain during the game. "We are angry because we were so close. The referee was slightly more for them than for us. That ultimately cost us the cup," he said. Holland boss Bert van Marwijk echoed Kuyt's sentiments by saying: "I don't think the referee controlled the match well. "Both sides committed fouls. That may be regrettable for a final. But the best team won the match."
