Argentina ace Carlos Tevez stated that he knew he was offside while scoring the opener in his team's 3-1 win over Mexico in the World Cup round of 16. The Manchester City hitman went one-on-one with Oscar Perez but the keeper blocked him before Lionel Messi gathered the loose ball. A tame shot from Barcelona wizard Messi was headed home by Tevez; a goal that should have been disallowed through offside. Many players protested in vain against the referee's staggering decision, seeing that Tevez wasn't covered by any players. "At first I thought he (Rosetti) was saying that it was not a goal, then I saw the signal and I started (celebrating) and I was happy," Tevez said. "I know I was offside, I know it was selfish but as long as they say it was a goal it's OK for me and the team."
