Argentina coach Diego Maradona vowed to run in the middle of Buenos Aires without a stitch on if the South American giants win the imminent World Cup. The Argentine legend made the sensational promise during a radio interview, five days after the two-time world champions had defeated Canada 5-0 in their last warm-up game. When the reporter asked him how he would celebrate a World Cup triumph, Maradona said: "If we win the World Cup, I'll get naked and run around the Obelisk."

Forty-nine-year-old Maradona, who led Argentina to the World Cup title as a player in 1986, took charge of his national team late in 2008.
