Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal says Ivica Olic managed to score three goals against Lyon only because he was the closest player to goal. Croatian forward Olic blasted Bayern into the Champions League final with a sensational treble at Lyon, giving his side a 4-0 aggregate win. "He (Ivica Olic) scored three goals, he pressed high on the pitch as well, which is important in our organization," said Van Gaal after the match. "We can rely on him, once again he scored three goals but it is because he is the closest player to the goal. I'm sorry, but that's the way I think." Ten months with Van Gaal The Dutch manager is glad that his tough approach with the players has finally paid off as he anticipates a final with Inter Milan. "The players now know what it's like to spend 10 months with Van Gaal, they know it's not easy but they're happy now and so am I," he added. "I think we are more likely to play Inter and that would give me the opportunity to have a press conference with my friend Jose Mourinho."
