Islam Al-Shater put Harras Hodoud ahead but saw his team's lead canceled out and received his marching orders during Sunday's 1-1 draw at Ethiopia's Bank in the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32. Al-Shater hit the opener on 26 minutes, but the hosts equalized three minutes from halftime. The Former Ahli man received a straight red card after the interval for what the referee considered to be a vicious tackle. A goalless draw in the second leg, which will be played early next month at Alexandria's Max Staduim, would be enough for Hodoud to go through. After the game, Hodoud coach Tarek Al-Ashri voiced his satisfaction over his team's performance. "The game was a relatively easy task, and now we are half way there," he told Egyptian radio. On Al-Shater's dismissal, Al-Ashri said: "A caution would have been enough from my point of view. "The numerical disadvantage forced us to depend on the counter attack in the second period."
