Hosni Abd-Rabou scored his fifth goal in the UAE Football League this season as Ahli Dubai defeated Nasr 4-2 on Thursday. The Egyptian midfielder converted a penalty three minutes after the restart to double Ahli's advantage. Striker Ahmed Khalil scored a hat-trick to help Ahli alleviate their crisis after a dreadful run in the domestic competition and the AFC Champions League. Ahli suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Qatar's Sadd last week in the Champions League that prompted Dutch manager Henk Ten Cate to hand in his resignation. The league holders lie seventh in the table with 21 points from 17 games. Abd-Rabou is set to return to Ismaili at the end of the season after finishing his two-year loan spell with Ahli. However, he said he wanted to join a European side rather than playing in Egypt next season.
