Egypt keeper Essam Al-Hadari believes the Pharaohs have demonstrated that they are better than all the African teams who qualified for the World Cup. The African champions missed out on the gigantic competition after losing to Algeria 1-0 in November's decider in Sudan. "Our results in the Nations Cup prove that we are better than all the African World Cup qualifiers," the 37-year-old goalie told FilGoal.com. "We should have qualified for the World Cup, but now we are trying to make amends by winning the African Cup of Nations." Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria have also booked places in the World Cup from the Dark Continent. "We haven't lost so far, but more importantly we want to claim the African title," Al-Hadari. Egypt, who won back-to-back Nations Cup titles in 2006 and 2008, will set a new record should they snatch the trophy for a third successive time.
