Ahli will miss another influential player in defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour when they face Military Production in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday. Ashour, one of the mainstays of Ahli's squad, picked up a hamstring injury during the team's 1-0 home victory over Gouna last Wednesday. He was unable to recover in time for the game against an in-form Production side, the Egyptian champions said on their website on Saturday. Mostafa Shebeita, one of the substitute players who were given a chance to prove their worth in the midst of Ahli's injury crisis, is expected to partner Egyptian international Ahmed Fathi in the heart of midfield. Ahli couldn't field a recognized left-back against Gouna but will welcome back Gilberto and Sayed Moawad against Production. The Red Devils collected just six points from four games after being hit by a string of injuries to their key players. They had to do without the likes of Mohamed Abou-Treika, Mohamed Barakat, Moataz Eno and Emad Meteb. However, Ahli, who eye a sixth successive league triumph, are still on top of the table. They hold a four-point advantage over second-placed Petrojet.
